Mauchline band ready to take on the piping world

Pipers and drummers from Mauchline are tuning up to take on the very best, as they get ready to compete in the World Pipe Band Championships.

The Mauchline and District Pipe Band will be competing against bands from all over Scotland and beyond in grade two at the championships, which will be held on Saturday 13th August on Glasgow Green.

The championships will feature more than 8,000 pipers and drummers from sixteen nations, and are expected to attract more than 40,000 spectators.
