Mauchline roadworks project work 'progressing well'
30 JulyThe second phase of the £1.6m Transport Scotland reconstruction project in Mauchline is now under way and work is going well, according to trunk road managers Amey.
Amey and Barr Construction have made efforts where possibl, to make sure appropriate arrangements are in place for deliveries and signage has been placed within the village to advise that businesses are open as usual.
Throughout the project vehicles weighing over 7.5 tonnes are diverted using the A70 and A77. During Phase 2 all other vehicles travelling northbound will use the B743, and A719 (and the same in reverse for southbound users).
