MSP's feedback about the Mauchline Holy Fair

Cathy Jamieson MSP says:

Large crowds turned out for Mauchline's Annual Holy Fair, which this year saw a World Record Breaking Haggis cooked in a specially constructed vessel on the bleaching green. The Haggis was officially confirmed as a World Record and will now be entered into the Guinness Book of Records.

A range of entertainment including the Red Hot Chilli Pipers took place throughout the day along with the regular screaming preachers and Mauchline Burns Club's Radio Reekie, which is becoming a firm favourite.

A huge amount of work goes in to organising this event, and has been supported by funding from East Ayrshire Council and I hope that future funding will be available to ensure that the event continues in years to come.
